You can make a bid at auction in the following ways:
To bid in person, you are required to register with us at our auction reception. To complete your registration we shall require your name, address and contact telephone numbers. You will then be provided with a unique bidding number.
The usual gesture to make your bid to the auctioneer is to raise your catalogue or bidding number. Do not worry, as long as the auctioneer recognises that you are bidding it does not matter how you do it. The Auctioneer will make eye contact with you to confirm that your bid has been taken.

If you are unable to attend the auction in person you can arrange for bids to be made on your behalf. To facilitate this you will need to complete one of our commission bid forms. These are available from our Auction Rooms at Marshall House. After completion they should be handed in or faxed to us prior to the sale. - Fax number: 01565 652341.
Arrangements for telephone bids can also be made for those who are unable to attend the auction in person. If you wish to take advantage of this service, you should register with us at least 24hrs before the appropriate sale. A member of our auction staff will call you from the salerooms before the item, for which you wish to bid, comes for up sale. Please note: In order to book a telephone line you must be prepared to bid up to the lower end of the estimate at least, your booking will be taken as a low end estimate bid if no other bids are received. Bidding Live On-line
Bid on lots and buy online at the click of a button with the-saleroom.com's live bidding service and all from the comfort of your own home or office, anywhere in the world.
The unique live bidding experience allows you to feel as though you are in the auction room without actually being there. Lots appear on your computer screen as they appear in the auction room and the auctioneer is aware of your bids the moment you make them. A live audio feed allows you to experience the excitement of the sale and hear your bids being relayed.

Cheque (supported by a valid and appropriate guarantee card)- cheques to the value of £1,000.00 or over must clear our bank account before goods can be collected.

If items are not removed in line with our Terms & Conditions of sale we reserve the right to apply storage charges of £5 per lot per day plus VAT apply.
